Week 1
A Lesson Before Dying is about a man named Jefferson that is charged with 3 murders that he did not commit and is going to get sent to execution. In the courtroom, the prosecutor says that Jefferson is a "hog." His godmother Miss Emma would like for Grant, to go visit Jefferson to make him into a man, because Miss Emma did not want him to go to the chair being a hog, she wanted him to go as a man. Therefore, Miss Emma would like to go speak to Henri Pichot because his brother-in-law is the sheriff.
